LONDON’S Duck & Waffle restaurant is spreading its wings by opening a branch in Edinburgh.
The eatery – which is located on the 40th floor of London’s 110 Bishopsgate skyscraper – is adding Scottish twists to its menu, including a deep-fried haggis bar.
The restaurant is making its nest at the St James Crescent entrance to the £1 billion St James Quarter shopping centre, above Register Square.
Shimon Bokovza, Duck & Waffle founder, said: “We are proud to be opening our doors in Edinburgh bringing our top quality, memorable gastronomic dining experience to Scotland.
“Edinburgh is a globally-recognised destination, renowned for its diverse culinary offering, which made it the ideal location for opening our first UK venture outside of London – we can’t wait to welcome locals and world travelers alike.”
The decor for the Edinburgh branch was created by interior design studio Fabled Studio, and features a main dining room, chefs’ counters at which customers can eat, and two private dining rooms, called “The Whisky Room” and “The Nest”, sitting ten and 14 guests respectively.
