Restaurateur Julie Lewis is to open her second St Andrews restaurant, Next Door, in the Fife town.
The 35-cover breakfast, brunch and lunch spot will be on South Street, fittingly, next door to The Adamson, her award-winning restaurant and cocktail bar.
The casual restaurant will offer an all-day menu, serving fresh food that’s as nutritious as it is Instagrammable. Aimed at those pursuing a healthy lifestyle – most of the time – Next Door’s creative menu will be light, natural and invigorating – offering diners plenty of plant-powered alternatives.
Julie said: ‘I’ve always wanted to open another restaurant in St Andrews, and have been looking for a location for the last five years, so I jumped at the chance to snap up the former Burger site next door to The Adamson.’
Next Door will aim to attract hungry Millennials and tap into the growing trend of rolling out of bed and heading straight out for breakfast and brunch. The ‘go-healthy’ restaurant will also feature a bar area serving a range of green and herbal teas, as well as coffee and stronger options.
Open from 8am to 6pm, Monday through Sunday, Next Door is located at 129 South Street, St Andrews. Next Door will also be a great venue for private dining, accommodating large groups and bespoke food and drink events during the evenings.
Designed by London-based brand agency, OPX, the visual identity for Next Door makes it a memorable addition to South Street.
Next Door will create 10 new jobs for the area and will be open from Friday 8 March.
The Adamson opened in St Andrews in 2012. The Adamson won ‘Best Restaurant of the Year’ in 2016 and ‘Best Cocktail Bar’ in 2018 at the SLTN Awards. It has previous won ‘Family Business of the Year’ at The Courier Business Awards.
