Popular snow holiday camps to run this summer

Whatever the weather this coming summer, there’s no reason to pack away the skis or snowboard.

Back by popular demand are the fun-packed Snow Factor Kids Holiday Camps at Snow Factor, near Glasgow.

Running throughout the summer school holidays, the camps are perfect for keeping 7 to 15-year-olds active and helping budding skiers and snowboarders either to learn or hone their skills on real snow.

Starting on 1 July and running almost every week until 16 August, there are a number of different action-packed camps from which parents can choose for their kids at Scotland’s only indoor real snow sports facility.

For beginners, there are still places available on the rookie ski and snowboard camps while kids keen to improve their turns and style can opt for the rider ski or rider board camp. The freestyle board and pro ski camps focus more on giving experienced skiers and snowboarders greater confidence to perform tricks and to carve their turns.

All of the 5-day camps run for a full day (Monday-Friday). At £299pp, they include snacks, refreshments and lunch and to relieve tired legs also feature afternoon activities within Soar intu Braehead like a visit to the cinema, laser tag or crazy golf.

Daniela Giannini, group marketing manager for Ice Factor Group, said: ‘At Snow Factor we’ve run our popular summer holiday kids camps for the past seven years. They are great fun, giving the children the opportunity to make friends and progress their skiing or snowboarding on real snow with an expert instructor in a safe environment.

‘There’s never a dull moment for the kids and they are also a good option for working parents who know their kids will be active while also progressing their ski and snowboarding skills!’

There are discounts for junior members and siblings.

Courses are: Rider Ski / Rookie Snowboard: w/c 1 July; Freestyle Board / Rookie Ski: w/c 8 July; Rookie Ski / Rider Board: w/c 22 July; Rider Ski / Rookie Board: w/c 29 July; Freestyle Board / Pro Ski: w/c 5 August; Rookie Board / Rookie Ski: w/c 12 August.
