A Scottish tourist attraction has been voted amongst the best 1% in the world – and it’s probably not the one you were expecting.
Landmark Forest Adventure Park, located just outside Aviemore, has once again been named in the Top 1% of visitor attractions worldwide.
The Scottish visitor attraction, which first opened its doors back in June 1970, has just been awarded the very prestigious Travellers’ Choice award by TripAdvisor for the second year running.
The Travellers’ Choice Award is based on reviews left by visitors via the online platform and is the highest honour that TripAdvisor bestows on visitor attractions around the world.
As the only travel industry award based on millions of reviews and opinions from travellers around the world, these annual awards reflect ‘the best of the best’ for service, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Not only has Landmark Forest Adventure Park been awarded the Traveller’s Choice Award again, but they have also moved up yet another place in TripAdvisor’s list of the Top 10 Amusement Parks in the UK. The family attraction is now named as one of the top 4 four parks north of London and the highest rated amusement park north of Blackpool.
Drew Hendry, Member of Parliament for Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey, said: ‘This is a fantastic achievement by the team at Landmark and is good news for us all.
‘Tourists want to visit places with quality attractions and winning this award for the second year running is certainly a testament to the quality on offer at Landmark.
‘It has been a firm family favourite for generations of Highland families, and it is great to see that it is now also winning the hearts of visitors from near and far.’
Landmark Forest Adventure Park is one of many great family attractions located in the surrounding Aviemore area which make it such a popular holiday destination with families in the UK. Last year Aviemore and its surrounding area were visited by around 1.1m visitors, a testament to its high quality attractions, restaurants and range of accommodation.
Mark Tate, CEO of the Cairngorms Business Partnership, recognises that Landmark plays a leading role in the area’s Top Standing as a UK Family Destination.
He added: ‘It is amazing, though not surprising, that Landmark has been awarded The Traveller’s Choice Award for the second year running. This cements the areas reputation as the number one destination for family holidays in Scotland and possibly the whole of the UK.
‘With a catalogue of world class visitor attractions like Landmark, the area has so much to offer families, not forgetting a fantastic range of family friendly accommodation to match. Congratulations to the whole team at Landmark.’
Landmark general manager Danny Fullerton said: ‘We’re all absolutely delighted to have won this prestigious award.
‘With thousands of families returning to the park every year, we recognise just how important it is for us to continually improve as a visitor attraction. Hopefully this award is a good indication that we are going in the right direction!
‘It is hugely encouraging as we make preparations to bring even more exciting attractions to the park over the coming years.’
