Mark St Andrew’s Day with a tour of Murrayfield

Celebrate St Andrew’s Day with a difference this Friday, with a special visit behind the scenes at Murrayfield, the home of Scottish rugby.

Scottish Rugby are to hold two tours this Friday, 30 November, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, going behind the scenes of BT Murrayfield.

There will also be a guest appearance from an Edinburgh Rugby player, so you’ll have an opportunity to talk about their season so far and look ahead to the Heineken European Champions Cup games and the 1872 Cup game against Glasgow a few days before Christmas.

On the guided tour of BT Murrayfield, visitors will he taken inside areas of the stadium that they would never ordinarily get to see and will be regaled with stories from Scottish Rugby’s rich history – seeing what the stadium looks like day to day and learning about the preparations for international matches.

You will be able to sit in the hospitality boxes, enter the TV Studio, visit the Bill McLaren Press Gallery; see the glorious trophy cabinets including the Calcutta Cup, view the pitch from the coaches’ perspective and experience for yourself a walk through The Tunnel.
