Rosie Morton
Rosie graduated with a MA (Joint Hons) French and Spanish from the University of St Andrews, then went on to pursue competitive rowing before returning to academia to complete a MSc Journalism. She joined Wyvex Media in 2018. As chief sub-editor, she works across Scottish Field and Cask & Still. She writes on a variety of subjects including food, travel, lifestyle and feature interviews. She also oversees Scottish Field’s Instagram page.

Peter Ranscombe
Peter is a freelance journalist and copywriter, who took over as Scottish Field magazine’s personal finance columnist in 2020. He also served as the magazine’s wine columnist and drinks blogger between 2014 and 2022.
Ellie Forbes
Ellie grew up in Perthshire and graduated from the University of Stirling with a BA in Journalism and Politics. She joined Wyvex Media in 2016 working at The Oban Times, before spending nearly six years working at a news agency. Ellie returned to Wyvex in 2023 to take on the role of Web Journalist with Scottish Field.

James Robertson
A former Royal Hong Kong Police Force inspector and then an army officer in the Argylls, James worked for several wine companies – including Corney & Barrow, Grants of St James, and Hatch Mansfield – and latterly as the international sales manager for Tullibardine distillery. He completed his Wine & Spirit Education Trust diploma in 2000. He has been a judge for the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) and is currently a taste and business judge for the Scottish Whisky Awards.
