Scottish Plant Lore: An Illustrated Flora is a lovely coffee table book, filled with an array of beautiful drawings and information that you will return to time and again.
The book is not exhaustive, but is a fine place to start for wannabe horticulturists inspired to create their own green haven.
Kenicer primarily details those plants that are commonly found in Scotland, and breaks it into sections including ‘seashores’ and ‘human habitats’ making it very accessible.
Scottish Plant Lore: An Illustrated Flora, by Gregory J. Kenicer, published by Birlinn, £20.00.
