Families planning a day out over the Easter weekend can have a fun and educational time in New Lanark.
From Friday, 30 March to Monday, 2 April, the Easter Bunny will be bouncing around this amazing UNESCO World Heritage Site.
There will be fun activities for the whole family to enjoy, from Easter crafts and artist textiles drop-in activities to making a stained glass window Easter egg and colour-in an egg-cellent Easter headband.
There will also be an Easter Bonnet Parade, taking place, leaving from the Institute daily at 11am and 4pm.
Bring your own Easter Bonnet and take part in New Lanark’s daily Easter Parade with the Easter Bunny who’ll give a prize to the best bonnet he sees.
There will also be an annual Scottish Wildlife Trust Easter Duck Race on Monday 2 April at 3pm.
Help raise money for the Falls of Clyde by buying a duck and racing it down the Mill Lade in New Lanark only minutes from the Falls of Clyde wildlife reserve. The race begins at 3pm and ducks are sold for £2 per duck, from 1pm onwards, in the village.
There will also be daily activities from 10am–5pm at the New Lanark Visitor Attraction, where visitors can discover the amazing history of New Lanark in ther award-winning visitor attraction.
Youngsters and the young at heart can play with historic toys in the School, snap a selfie on the roof garden, dress up in Robert Owen’s House and lots more.
There will be ‘Story of New Lanark Tour’ at 2pm daily, when visitors can find out about the key historical milestones on the village’s timeline that helped shape it into the UNESCO World Heritage Site it is today.
They can also be inspired by the Artist Textiles Picasso to Warhol exhibition, currently being hosted at New Lanark, to design and draw your own amazing printed clothes.
Also explore the fabric sensory box and dress up in some stylish prints.
