Over 45,000 people and 1800 horses are expected to journey to Blair Castle in Perthshire next week.
They will be attending the annual Land Rover Blair Castle International Horse Trials, taking place between Thursday 23 and Sunday 26 August. Visitors will travel from across the globe to watch an estimated 1800 horses compete.
Scotland’s premier equestrian event is set against the stunning backdrop of Blair Castle, attendees will be able to watch a number of events take place throughout each of the four days, including the exciting Cross Country, Highland Pony Show, British Show Jumping and Pony Club Mounted Games.
One of the highlights of the weekend will be watching international riders competing in the finale of the Event Rider Masters series.
Families can take a break from the competition action to watch the Bruadar Country Fair; taking in the antics of the ducks and dogs in the Quack Commandos, cheering on the Pig Racing or enjoying the Vintage Tractors before experiencing the excitement of the Horse Power Cossack Show.
The historic grounds will also host a pop-up shopping village for the duration of the event, with over 200 stalls housing everything from gorgeous home accessories to a bottle of your favourite tipple and stylish country clothing.
Whisky lovers can book tickets to an exclusive whisky tasting with official drinks partner Bruadar, with all proceeds being donated to the chosen charity for this year’s International Horse Trials, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
