Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky have announced their first luxury ‘whisky experience’ in Vietnam.
Spread across five floors in the exclusive District 1 area of Ho-Chi Minh City, there is a mezzanine bar with fusion inspired cuisine, private VIP tasting rooms and retail boutique.
Establishing an authentic Scotch whisky experience in the heart of Ho Chi Minh is a seminal moment in the 85-year history of Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky Limited.
The company, with its home on the edge of Speyside, has been working with the experienced team in Vietnam to showcase their extensive portfolio of ‘only the best’ single malts and blends.
Cleverly pairing the whiskies with the finest sourced ingredient, has created a stunning eclectic menu in the restaurant, crafted by renowned Vietnamese Chef, Tran Van Fan.
Among the range of spirits on offer is the award-winning Black Bull 12 and Kyloe, bold blends which both received Double Platinum at the recent Ascot Awards.
A selection of Duncan Taylor’s exclusive single malt Octave Premium whiskies, featuring single casks from among the most iconic distilleries throughout Scotland are also available.
Guests are invited to immerse themselves in a new digital age using self-serve cask styled dispensers from a range of Duncan Taylor’s Black Bull blends.
The dispending barrels enables patrons to imbibe in their whisky of choice on demand from the company’s proprietary casks with the use of a pre-paid card.
Chairman of Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky, Euan Shand said: ‘There is a shift in drinking habits in south-east Asia, so we were keen to create a versatile and authentic customer experience that is more expressive, moves with the times and promotes Scottish hospitality at its very best.
‘This is a new foray into the hospitality world for our company and opening this whisky experience was the perfect way to engage with the community and culture of south-east Asia, who are keen to immerse themselves and discover more about the whisky world.’
Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky has more global development plans which will be revealed later this year.
