Limited edition Valentine’s gin set to go on sale
Eden Mill has announced the release of its brand-new Love Gin Liqueur – just in time for Valentine’s Day.
The sweet and aromatic Love Gin Liqueur is priced £15.99 (50cl) and can be served neat over ice, with tonic water, or mixed into a delicious cocktail for a romantic Valentine’s evening tipple, from 7 February.
Inspired by Eden Mill’s famous Love Gin, the raspberry, vanilla and meringue Love Gin Liqueur has been infused with a unique blend of Scottish raspberries and Madagascan vanilla and is a vibrant pink-red colour.
Created at the distillery in St Andrews and bottled at 20% ABV, the Love Gin Liqueur is made using a combination of botanicals including rare Croatian juniper berries, goji berries, and rose petals to create a complex and decadent flavour profile evocative of American Cream Soda or raspberry ripple ice cream.
The liqueur is presented in a glossed red carton, embellished with subtle roses that highlight the sweet, fragrant notes of the liqueur.
Eden Mill’s Love Gin Liqueur delivers a sweet and creamy taste over a soft backdrop of vanilla. On the nose, customers will be familiar with the sweet scent of raspberry syrup. Finishing, the liqueur leaves a lingering sweetness, with the vanilla fading to reveal berry fruit and aromatic floral notes.
Paul Miller, Co-Founder of Eden Mill, said: ‘We are excited to release our new Love Gin Liqueur and believe it will be a bottle that customers can enjoy all year round – not just at Valentine’s Day.
‘This versatile liqueur can be enjoyed neat, or over ice served with premium tonic and is the perfect addition to any gin lover’s gantry.’
Graham Nicolson, group buying director, ALDI Scotland said: ‘Gin remains one of our most popular spirits and we’re delighted customers will soon be able to buy this romantic new gin liqueur from Aldi stores in Scotland.
‘For anyone looking for the perfect gift for that special someone this Valentine’s Day, Eden Mill’s Love Gin Liqueur is sure to tick all the right boxes.’
Renowned for their innovative flavours, Eden Mill recently won ‘Gin of the Year’ amongst four other accolades for gin making at the 2018 Scottish Gin Awards.
