PRESENTER Ramsay MacMahon returned to the gogglebox last night with a sixth series of Mach a Seo, the BBC Alba show that features weekend breaks in Scotland.
Locations starring in the new series include: the Angus coast; Ayrshire; Comrie and Crieff; Eigg; Eriskay; and Ullapool and the Coigach peninsula.
“The new six-part series of Mach a Seo follows Ramsay all over the country as he seeks out the best weekend trips and ultimate staycations,” explained the show’s production company.
“It’s this escapism – getting away from the humdrum and weekly grind – that is adventurer Ramsay’s secret to a happy life.
“But it’s also the great joy in discovering things about the country you live in which you had previously overlooked.
“For Ramsay, planning an unforgettable trip away at the weekend is what gets him through Monday to Friday.
“It’s this that leaves him re-energised and raring to go again at the start of a new week.”
The firm added: “Each episode explores a different area in Scotland, each one full of amazing scenery, adrenaline-filled activities, rich history, unusual accommodation and hidden quirky sites.
“The perfect guide for an action-packed Scottish getaway.”
