ACCORDIONIST Phil Cunningham returns this month for his “Christmas Songbook” tour.
Eddi Reader, Karen Matheson, John McCusker, Kris Drever, Ian Carr, and Kevin McGuire are among the musicians joining Cunningham on stage.
His band will visit Aberdeen, Dumfries, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, and Stirling between 13 and 20 December.
“We can’t wait to hit the road and take the ‘Christmas Songbook’ on tour across Scotland again this year,” said Cunningham, who is famous for his double act with Shetland fiddler Aly Bain, as well as his time with Relativity and Silly Wizard.
“The show has grown a lot over the years and has become part of people’s festive traditions.
“Last year’s tour was derailed a little by covid so we can’t wait to have a proper, long-awaited Christmas shindig.”
He added: “I’ll be joined by some old friends, who happen to be some of the best folk artists in the country.
“We love bringing the Christmas cheer to towns and cities up and down the country and it’s always fantastic to see people singing and dancing along.”
