Dance Base announces its 21st festival programme showcasing Scottish dance talent on the world’s biggest arts platform, and bringing internationally renowned artists to the Scottish capital: 33 companies from 12 countries present 39 dance and physical theatre shows exploring and celebrating life and the human condition through themes of sexuality, disability, climate crisis and feminism. Some of the highlights include Tess Letham’s Remedy for Memory, a feminist dance fantasy, and Rob Heaslip’s Strawboys merging the worlds of traditional Balkan dance with contemporary music.



The 2022 programme is the final Dance Base programme curated by Morag Deyes MBE who led Dance Base as the Artistic Director between 1994 and 2021.
