Book fans delight as Christian Aid book sale on Edinburgh’s George Street returns for its 50th sale:
Scotland’s biggest charity book sale opens its doors for the 50th time this Saturday.  In the last decade alone, the book sale at St Andrew’s and St George’s West Church on George Street, Edinburgh, has raised over a million pounds for international development charity Christian Aid.  
  Pictured on the steps of the St Andrew’s and St George’s West Church  is Glasgow-based writer Bernard MacLaverty, author of five novels and six short-story books, and the patron of this year’s 50th sale. Bernard has revealed that he has attended the sale since the mid-1970s and much enjoys buying books.
  The sale opens this Saturday 14th May (2022) and runs again from Monday 16th to Friday 20th May - see:: https://www.stagw.org.uk/
