Ardlamont House is situated at the southern tip of the Ardlamont peninsula, from where the house gets its name. Within the woodlands lying to the south of Ardlamont House is a small burial ground. The historic owners of Ardlamont were the Watson family. Many of the Watson family ancestors have been laid to rest here. The family have retained ownership of the burial site and they retain access rights to the site.
