Pittenweem Preserves has launched its very own cookbook, revealing the secrets of some of its award-winning creations.
During the very first lockdown, Ardross Farm Shop asked Pittenweem Preserves to do a live Jam Shack Tour and cooking demonstration on their Facebook page.
The feedback was tremendous and a seed of an idea was sown.
Pittenweem Preserves’ co-owner Fiona Audsley explained: ‘We are so proud to announce the publication of our first cookbook, Recipes from The Jam Shack, a 96 page hardback companion to our award-winning preserves.
‘We have brought together a selection of our favourite recipes and included lots helpful hints and tips for effortless preserve making. The book also has ideas for using the preserves in savoury dishes, cocktails and sweet bakes.’
Last year, Pittenweem Preserves secured a licence from The R & A to make two marmalades for The Open golf championship. In a collaboration celebrating small, local businesses the preserves will sport labels featuring The Open logo and colours. Also to come will be a limited edition for the 150th Open to be held in St Andrews in 2022.
Their produce, including the marmalades, are available in speciality outlets across Scotland, at The 150th Open and on the company’s website pittenweempreserves.co.uk.
