Wednesday April 13th – A grey, cool dampish sort of day;  Northern Flame, Amulree and Papamoa went to work at Lucinda’s, about a dozen worked in the round school and on the all-weather and the weekend runners went for a long hack. Hugh was in to geld our Midnight Legend colt (well, gelding now) out of Harrietfield and I decided that I would go for a tenth foal out of the mare, she looks so well and young out in the field (with her Generous 2yo gelding that I rather alarmingly struggle to distinguish from her) that I think it would be a shame to retire her, question is which stallion to use, hmm perhaps Black Sam Bellamy. Am hopeful that Ayr have had a bit of this rain to keep any sting out of the ground, other entries this weekend are at the Corbridge p2p and Wetherby on Sunday then a quiet week…
