The Erskine Hotel and Spa has been sold to an expanding operator.
Situated in Erskine on the west coast, overlooking the River Clyde and only 14 miles west of Glasgow city centre, stands The Erskine Bridge Hotel, extending across approximately six acres of land.
The purpose-built hotel has been purchased by MGM Muthu Hotels in an off-market transaction for an undisclosed sum, brokered by specialist business property advisors, Christie & Co.
The sale was brokered by Stuart Drysdale, director at Christie & Co
He said: ‘We have had a long-standing relationship with Cosmopolitan Hotels and were asked to conduct a confidential marketing campaign to find a buyer for the hotel.
‘MGM Muthu Hotels are expanding their portfolio in Scotland and the purchase allows them to significantly increase their room stock and secure a large hotel with easy access to Glasgow airport, and act as a starting point for overseas visitors exploring the Loch Lomond area and the wider west coast of Scotland.’
The hotel comprises 177 en suite guest rooms, large reception and bar, a 200-cover restaurant and self-contained spa facilities including a pool and gym. In addition, it houses one of the largest function spaces in the west of Scotland, which can cater for up to 500 guests.
