Glenmorangie Distillery has revealed a programme of one-of-a-kind whisky experiences as part of the inaugural Highland Whisky Festival.
On Glenmorangie Day, 14 May, the Highland distillery will host a number of exclusive tours and experiences, designed to appeal to whisky novices and experts alike.
Events include an Old and Rare Tasting, where visitors can explore a range of prized single malts, paired with locally-sourced Highland cheeses; and a Private Edition Tour, which will include sampling of three of Glenmorangie’s most unusual and innovative expressions.
Meanwhile, foodies and whisky fans alike can indulge in a Rare Cask Dining Experience, including delicious whisky cocktails and a four-course gourmet dinner featuring Highland cuisine, expertly complemented by exquisite single malts.
The evening finale is the pièce de résistance – the first tasting of the rare bottling, exclusive to Glenmorangie Distillery – Cask 1784.
Glenmorangie brand home manager, Stuart Smith, said: ‘The Men of Tain have been crafting Glenmorangie single malt here on the Dornoch Firth since 1843, and we’re very proud of our rich history and heritage. It’s fantastic to be part of the first Highland Whisky Festival, and show visitors from around the world what makes this region and our whisky so special.
‘We hope whisky lovers will join us for our Glenmorangie celebrations. It will be an opportunity to explore parts of our distillery that we don’t usually open to the public, as well as taste new and exclusive whiskies.’
The Highland Whisky Festival will take place from 10-17 May 2019. For more information and to buy tickets for Glenmorangie Day events, visit www.Glenmorangie.com/experiences/distillery-tour.
