Consistently good reviews have earned a Scots holiday village a place in the TripAdvisor hall of fame.

General manager Pauline McLaren: ‘This is fantastic news as we look forward to June, July and August, our busiest times of the year. We are a very well known and established accommodation and leisure business in the area, but we certainly don’t want to ever be complacent, so we are always striving to maintain very high standards, and, in fact, exceed expectations across the board with all our guests.’
Customers in the tourism and hospitality industry have very high standards nowadays.
Pauline continued: ‘With social media booming customers are going to make their views known through sites like TripAdvisor, which has a solid reputation. It is instant feedback in some cases so you can take steps to remedy anything you are not happy with.”
‘This consistency over five years demonstrates that we are achieving our aims, and we would like to thank all our customers who go to the trouble of posting reviews for us – we really appreciate the feedback.’
Mains of Taymouth also covers holiday home ownership, through Taymouth Village Holiday Park with its luxurious holiday lodges from Island Leisure, and Balloch Park, the residential, buy to let, and holiday home development added to the estate in 2017.
As well as Tripadvisor success, Mains of Taymouth has picked up numerous awards over the years, including an Architectural award for Castle Gardens, its first buy to let development, and the Paws for a Break award from Embrace Scotland as the most pet friendly self catering establishment in the UK.
