Own a cask from the InchDairnie Distillery

Whisky aficionados will have something to boast about by seizing a rare opportunity to own output from the InchDairnie Distillery.

The distillery, founded in 2016, is making its spirit available to the public for the first time.

Only 30 casks of their exceptional spirit will be released each year through the InchDairnie Cask Owner’s Club, with the owners having the final say on when they want their cask emptied for bottling.

The Fife distillery, which incorporates ingenious techniques and equipment into the whisky making process, undertakes a very particular strategy to reach the optimum range of flavours in their spirit.

Rather than distilling exactly the same spirit throughout the year, it will change the distillery set-up to reflect the seasons. Only one type of ‘vintage’ liquid will be released each year – spring, summer, autumn and winter.

Potential buyers will be given the opportunity to own a cask of this seasonal distillate, which is a building block for the official InchDairnie Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The spirit will be aged for a minimum of 12 years at the distillery, however owners may chose to mature it for longer.

As it is not open to the public, owning a cask of InchDairnie single malt is the only way to visit the distillery. Cask owners will be invited to visit the cask and receive a highly technical tour of the entire production process.

They will also be provided with samples of their cask’s spirit at annual intervals during the maturation process to experience first-hand how the liquid is developing and changing.

Ian Palmer, managing director, InchDairnie Distillery, said: ‘This is a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about whisky to be a part of the exciting and evolving story of our ingenious distillery.

‘We pride ourselves on seeking out the best methods and technology in order to achieve the greatest results. Everything that we do focuses around the quest for ultimate flavour and this method of seasonal distillation is another example of that.’

Additional benefits of cask ownership include a private tasting hosted by InchDairnie distillery at the home of the owner, a display for sample bottles, which will be crafted by a local artist and the cask end stenciled with their name.
