Three Sisters Bake up cakes in the city

Scotland’s famous baking sisterhood, Three Sisters Bake, has arrived on Great Western Road in Glasgow with its latest venture – Cake Bar.

The new take-away and sweet treat destination is set to be the most instagrammable café in Glasgow, complete with neon signs and flower installations and of course, cake.

Cake Bar will offer ice-cream sundaes, hot brownies, tray bakes and celebration cakes too, plus a pick’n’mix counter and specialty coffee from The Gatehouse Coffee Roasters.

Cake Bar (401 Great Western Road) is the latest expansion from the inimitable Three Sisters Bake, who established their first café in Quarriers Village in 2011.

Three Sisters Bake also has a countryside café in Killearn and a regular pop up at Platform at Argyle Street Arches.
Creating six full time jobs, Cake Bar will be open seven days a week (8am-8pm, Monday to Friday and 9am-8pm at the weekend).

Gillian Reith, Three Sisters Bake, said: ‘Finally we are in Glasgow and we couldn’t be happier to be launching our latest sweet treat offering in the city! We’ve been searching for the right location to launch Cake Bar for a long time so we couldn’t be more delighted to have found the ideal spot on the busiest road in Glasgow.

‘We see Cake Bar as the unruly childish streak of the Three Sisters Bake brand – it’s all about having fun. Our product line up is inspired by childhood nostalgia, complete with soft serve ice cream, pick n mix, hot brownie sundaes, cake boxes, celebration cakes and of course our famous scones. We’ve also got something for those seeking the picture perfect location, with our insta-fabulous wall with neon sign.’
